We did have one, actually, but it got lost ages ago because people lost interest in posting in it. I don't think there's enough girls posting in Love and Dating to keep the thread alive. There was also a WP "beauty pageant" thread thingy a few posts back but I don't think people were posting photos for that.

Yeah, so as not to be a kill joy, look left for image of me (cause I can't be bothered uploading photos at the moment :P)

There are plenty of pretty Autists...& lots on Wrong Planet. But we couldn't have a competition because that would be exclusionary and everyone has different opinions.

Don't who would win Miss Wrong Planet congeniality! hah hah...just kidding. Ummm, I've been told I'm pretty. Not that it matters. I don't think of myself as a value thing, I guess. Probably most Aspie females don't either.

I am not a prude but I think that the wrong planet would be not the right place for a "Miss Autism" contest based upon looks.

Some months ago I cringed when I saw a first post from one person who wrote "I am new and I want a hot ass-burger girl" (my paraphrase). We have a range of girls, women and ladies. I think that the majority of them come here for support, they do not come here to be "chatted up" and I think that any attempt to turn WP into a pick up joint would poison the air of the wrong planet.

Also one person's idea of what is attractive in a lady is often different to another persons. For instance I do not have many strong ideas about the physical appearance of women, I find a woman who thinks and uses her brain for more than just keeping her ears apart to be more important to me.

But if you were going to have a Miss Autism contest then I think it would be better if the young ladies here given a series of brain challenges, the one I would give would be to provide each lady with a QQV-640, a pile of electronic scrap, some tools and give them 24 hours to build a power amp or some other device.

I think that watching the ladies having a go at valved electronics would interest the many male aspies more than a swimwear parade.

That was very well put and I agree, some of us come here to get away from that kind of pressure. Online we can't be seen and therefore weighed up as a potential/or not bedmate thank goodness.

well i think that in all fairness , if a girl posted a "most attractive aspie guy" thread without looking for a date, then it is just as fair for a guy to post a "most attractive aspie girl" thread without looking for a date. we mustn't assume that he wants to pick of a girl just because he posted this thread. If so then we should assume that the girl also wanted to pick up a guy. But unfortunately that is not the case. i dont believe this is a beauty pageant or anything, i just believe he wants to see some pictures of the girls, as did the girl wanted to see pictures of guys. let's not be biased here people please.

I see what you are saying but in that case, why not just ask for pictures of people? though I think there is already a thread for that somewhere.

Just a thought

Would we get access to books or the internet to research the project, or would we have to go entirely on prior knowledge? This sounds interesting but right now I know nothing about the subject. :P

Hmmm....
I'm not sure you could really have a beauty contest based on something other than looks (which is still verry subjective.)

I mean all the traits that make someone attractive: Physical beauty, personality, being "fun", intelligence, capability, other personality traits, and just that air of uniqueness and being interesting.... Well most of them varry for each person and all of them except physical beauty can't really be measured without knowing the person right?

Anyways I don't think this is an inherently wrong thing to do, most people are at the least decent looking and at the most heartbreakingly beautiful so I see no problem with giving an opportunity to show off. That kind of thing can make you feel good as it brings on feelings of confidence and self-worth.

Besides I think most of the womenfolk on here are already with people so I'm not sure theres much danger of it turning into some pickup scheme like one or two of you may be affraid of.

Big mistake hyder13, lock this thread! lock this thread! You are just opening again a can of worms!

Because if you complimented X and you forgot to complimente Y , Y will become upset and make a big fuss out of it , and don't ever even dare to compare X with Y ...check the original thread.

The only way to make this thread works is to be a liar and tell to each of X,Y , Z , S, A , B ....etc something like "You are very gorgeous , you are very hot." (otherwise keep out of this thread like me, males).

and oh ladies, no swimsuit/lingerie pics please because this would anger the extremist feminists and the catholics.

Haha, this is so true. It's not happening often that I agree with you, LePetitPrince, but on this? Hell yeah.
