Iran for Freedom - Michael Jackson - They don't really care about us
http://www.facebook.com/ext/share.php?s ... yj9&ref=nf

New link should work and MJ youtube link held here also:

"This made me cry the aspie with no feelings, I can so relate to that, in a way Micheal Jackson has made me feel more alone and alienated in this world, seeing so much of his life of late and his struggles, reminds me of my continual battle to want to be a apart of this world and how hard it
can be for so many of us, often having no choice - conform or suffer!."

all conforming is.. is awareness to act is to truly be free. micheal jackson was just a tool a puppet of his own destruction he preached about saving the earth and did nothing

oh and he probably traumatised a few kids

yo should find your own way not follow another especially micheal jackson, look where he ended up and to be honest he was a hypocrite

I have never really followed anyone and would be extremelly hard to follow him now anyway, was just making a point really... I guess what i am trying to say if some of us more complex individuals were allowed to be ourselves, not have to conform fit in as such, less exposure to a society that often does not understand, less of a battle for us... all his problems seem to come from his misunderstood, misinterpreted differences, some i feel may never understand him, But i could relate to a lot of his reasons for certain things and the way he was...

To be honest the more I have to interact myself with those not on the autism spectrum, the more complex my life becomes... my best advice stick with like minded individuals, I do to a point and it works...

your right, I think I worded that wrong.... the more we are forced to conform, exposured to society on other peoples terms the more exhausting and often damage I feel it causes many of us!

Yes I feel a lot of sympathy for him as well. A life forced on him at a young age which he couldnt handle and when he falls apart he then gets blamed for it.

I guess I can relate as well to being the strange person people are always talking about.

I don't care that people don't care.

It's not like I'm ever going to care about them.

I am kind of use to that and can be nothing else, still doesn't mean those around you want to except or really understand and that I find hard at times, still a bit of fix culture out there, still guess we all have to work on that one together...

If only life was that simply, but I tend to agree partly, I have given up what others think of me, but as for my aspie son another story...

Maybe it is something that comes with the years. I sort of still care what people think of me but a lot of it is because I dont live up to my own standards I guess...

Living up to me own standards that I do care about and always seem to let myself down, the perfectionist in me means nothing is good enough....

I can see why he changed his face, too. Old pictures show him as a child right next to his father, and the image was startlingly similar. As much as he detested his male parent to see his face grow more and more like a picture of his dad must have been very hard to handle. After the Pepsi commercial when his hair caught on fire and he had to have extensive plastic surgery I think he hit upon a way where his face would not betray his relationship.

I remember once, with my hair all slicked back into a nurses cap I almost dropped the old lady I was helping into the bathroom when I flicked on the light and saw myself in the mirror. I swear it was my mother looking back at me, so I can understand his dread.

facial disfigurements are difficult to bear. I have had a slash across my face since 1980. I tease and call it my "Heildelberg scar" but it isn't a laughing matter, to a girl and woman. It is grotesque and has caused me more grief than I care to share.

A powerful song, showing his frustration and anger with the world and the last song he sang - YouTube - Michael Jackson - (With Lyrics): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPFFDSChedY

Shaking my head topic

Not sure what this topic was about, but if it helped anyone, then it was worth it.

The last song MJ sang in rehearsals just before he died, which to me anyway seems to send a message in regards to his own frustrations, struggles because of his differences, maybe more extreme than many of us but I can relate anyway..
