Definitely relate to what you experience, I've often thought where is the object whislt holding it in my hand. Have you gone into rooms for something, reached the room and then wonder why am I here, what am I after. Eventually leave the room and do something else and remember much later.

My attention span and ability to focus on a task or conversation is terrible. I have decided to listen to the Drs and take a low dose of stimulant medication to function better.

As a child it was three digits long for numbers and about three syllables for words. Today it is (temporarily) longer due to taking an effective med for ADHD Inattentive.

Like most of the posters so far, I am constantly doing this.
My atention span is GREAT if I like the activity (Studying soil science)
My attention span is ousy if I'm
- not interested
- don't feel I have the skills or instruction needed to do it (taxes, math homework)
- if it's interrupted.
- if something shiny shows up on my radar - OOH! SHINEY!

Making tea when I already had some - and cursing because the teacup isn't where it 'lives'.
Looking for my keys when they are already in my pocket.
Come home with groceries and sitting down to check on my posts or game, and discovering 3 hours later the milk is warm.
Start laundry (community machine downstairs), get distracted, and 2 days later can't figure where my clean shirts are.
