I am trying to boot up puppy linux 4.20 from CD so I can reinstall it. And I get a warning saying that Puppy has to pause for 60 sec. Then I get the message saying that puppy cant boot and my computer freezes. What happen and how do I fix it?

test it in another computer... the disc could be damaged.
I presume that the boot sequence is set in such a manner that it boots from the cd, as the sequence had begun.
It could be related to the cd reader and its interface to the system board.

I say try in another computer to see if the boot sequence can start. If it can then the disc is all right.

Sounds like you have a bad RAM or need to dust your CD drive.
If you can change your RAM and have 128 Meg or more per stick
and more than one then you should be able to find the bad one by
trying to boot with one at a time, being careful about static and shocks.
