Mihi placet fabulas ridiculas spectare, praesertim si mulieres cuiusdam generis partes ibi agunt.

I confess that I envy your collective prowess in Latin. It was not available in my K-12 environment, to my perpetual regret.

Other than a textbook, could any of you recommend a good beginner self-study module/course that you may know about?

I would in particular like to learn the many prefixes and suffixes that find their way into Science and Literature.

I believe all tertiary students would have a great advantage with a strong foundation in Latin fluency.

'Lingua latina per se illustrata' is a great source to learn Latin. I think it would also make the origin of latin prefixes and suffixes in English clear.

Many people seem to recommend that book.

I learned the basics (and beyond) of Latin from Latin Course For Schools, by L.A. Wilding.

https://archive.org/details/20140118LATINWildingBOOK1

It would now be regarded as extremely old-fashioned, and I doubt whether very many (or any) schools now use it, but I thought it was excellent.

Cognovi Norrem fuisse fautorem Michaeli Huckabei in certamine quo eligeretur candidatus Republicanus praesidentialis. Credisne eum, si exercitu in Syriam ducto Islamicos opprimat, Huckabeum Syriae legatum praepositurum esse?
