I was hugged, but only little. The reason is that I hate it to be hugged since then and until now and when I was a child I always fend it off. So they learned not to hug me and it is less now.

I was beaten more than I was hugged.

A little too much, actually.

I were, and I can say I generally liked it. But some people just made me uncomfortable. Depended (on) how well I knew & liked them.

Only by my Grandmother. As the oldest of ten children I was expected to be above all that. Plus I was always very academic and they never quite knew what to make of that. :?

I can honestly say that I don't remember a single time I was hugged by either parent, but my childhood was....not good. :(

Yes, a lot. Whenever I wanted to be, pretty much.

One of my earliest memories is struggling to free myself from a hug. I do not like them. I don't like being touched by anyone except the man I married. He's the only person, my children included, whose touch doesn't bother me. I've learned to tolerate some social touching like handshakes, and to hug relatives, but really could get along without it.

My parents never hugged me. I've been rarely hugged by my teachers. That's about it

I never remember being hugged by my parents. But once I discovered relationships & hugs - wow did I try and make up for lost time !

I'm single right now, and it's the hugs and cuddles I miss - way more than the sex. One relationship ended after a few weeks because she couldn't cope with a bloke who wanted to hug all the time.

Yes I was hugged a lot. I didn't like hugs a lot though, and only from certain people. My grandmother on my dad's side was probably my favourite person in the entire world, and I would sit in her lap and be hugged and the world would magically become a better place.
My aversion to hugging and/or physical contact is something that has become more distinct as I got older (from maybe 7 into my teens/tweens), but now as an adult I am more comfortable with my own space and boundries and now I can deal with random aquaintances forcing hugs on me with mere awkwardness.

Well, yeah. In spite of some troubles along the way.

The guy in my avi wasn't held enough as a child!

As for me, yes. I got quite a few hugs; I get them mostly from my grandmother nowadays.

I still am hugged a lot, few times a day. Brazilians tend to be very affectionate, not only my relatives hug me but my friends too.
When my father surprised me with a hug I would push him away, but he feels upset when I do it so I don't do it anymore. Don't want to give him the wrong idea I don't like him.

I was a little bit by my parents but never anyone else. I'm kind of fine like that at the moment.
