Most teachers are NOT going to assign extra work to children. After all, who has to mark that extra work? THEY DO.

Wait a minute... your teacher actually looks at the work he gives out?

Yup. Nobody else was going to do it.

My teachers in high school never did penalize me for doodling. They all felt, that some students NEED to doodle to stay focused...and some even encouraged it (my social teacher in social 20 and 30).

As far as my parents went, if I was doing well acedemically, they had no issue if and what I drew in my books...they didnt really care..as long as it didnt interfere with my performance....They also had to worry about my siblings' schooling as well.

My younger NT sister doodles, so my stepmom tried putting her in an extra curricular drawing class, but she didnt like it becuase it was full of old people...so she was put into something else that she liked.
