Hi cooldude
I don't know where you live, but there is a UK site called AS-IF which may be useful to you. It has loads of tips regarding getting a diagnosis and may give you a few insights for explaining to those around you why you think you may have AS, and hundreds of links. You could also try contacting a local autism group for support. It can be hard when your family don't accept your difference and I hope things work out for you.
Links:
OASIS (a very good US site): http://www.udel.edu/bkirby/asperger/
Marc Segar's AS Survival Guide: http://www-users.cs.york.ac.uk/~alistair/survival/
AS-IF: http://www.aspergerinformation.net/
Hope this helps
Dunc

FOR THE HORDE!
Hi.

I just went to a clinic to be diagnosed. I have a kind of mild form of AS, but in otherways it's extreme.
I would tell your parents that you been talking to people with AS and that you recognized some of the symptoms in yourself. Then they might be more accepting.
I hope everything works out for you. *hug*
