I absolutely love this software music player. It's hands down the best software music player out there. It's one of the reasons why I don't use Linux as my operating system.

It's one of my favorite player. I don't use any skin though as I usually minimize it anyway.

I hate Foobar. My favorite player is Songbird. I have an iPod so it's just easier to use Itunes, so I do.

Love Foobar2000. It's my only media player on all the Win32 (and now Win64) systems I use. I love its extensibility coupled with its lightweight footprint, and the fact that I have yet to find a format it can't play.

For those of you who have Macs, look into Cog. It's not quite to the level of Foobar2K, but it's as close as I've found so far.

Still have to find a good one for GNOME. I've heard praise for Amarok but I don't want to always install all the KDE libraries and such to run it, especially on my netbook which only has a 16GB SSD. Space is kind of at a premium there.

I tried Foobar2000 for a few weeks and didn't like it. I use MediaMonkey with my Cowon iAUDIO D2 in Windows, and Exaile in Ubuntu. CelticWhisperer, Have tou tried Exaile? I'm using that in Ubuntu and I love it.

There's supposed to be a GTK app that's equivalent to Amarok, but I don't remember what it is. I just use Songbird or Rhythmbox.

Orwell, you might be thinking of Exaile which is what i use or Banshee. Both are good, but I prefer Exaile.

Yeah, that's it. My needs for music are relatively simple, though, so I'm fairly apathetic to what media player I use. I just need to get it onto my iPod. No use trying to play it on my computer- the Linux drivers for my speakers suck. Actually, my speakers suck, but the Linux-native drivers make them even worse than they have to be.

I've been using Foobar for awhile now because it uses less RAM than other media players and can play just about every type of media file. Linux never has good software like Foobar.
