Why does WrongPlanet come up when I google my name?

I don't know if anyone else notices this, but when I google my full name then my blogview from WP shows up. Is this supposed to happen? I've made posts in the forums but I've never written anything in that blogview. I'm not sure I want everyone who knows me to know what I post here or what my username is.

Can no one answer my question? It seems that not everyone has this and it's because my name is given in the blogview:

Because of this, it shows up on Google. I don't mind some people knowing who I am, but can just from a privacy point of view, can it not be made so that this doesn't show up on Google? I don't even write on there anyway.

That is becuase you put your full name when you signed up. I agree that thy should give fair warning that they would publish it.

You can change it in "my acount"->"edit profile" under real name.

oh yeah I had the same problem with my YouTube channel.
I had it linked here in my signature area and when searching it Google lead it straight to my username on WP. I do not want them to be connected like this. Users on YouTube who find my channel outside of WP should not know that Im here on this forum but I dont mind the other way round, users here know about my YouTube channel.....
So I had to take the link off which is a pity as Its nice to share my videowork on WP too

Nope. My name and surname are still there but I've removed my middle name. That name and surname are so common that doing a search for them on Google brings up thousands of results. But with my middle name added, there was only one result and it lead to this sight. It still seems to happen because the old version of the blogview is still in the google cache.

Okay I see. Btw, Google cache is a creepy feature. I dont know how to get into it but for those who knows they can get to see personal information deleted....

I'm glad you found a solution. I had read the question but couldn't duplicate the result with my own name and had no idea on the "why."
