I just heard of Porcupine Tree from a comment on Facebook and checked them out on YouTube. They are great! You never hear any interesting new stuff on top 40 so I'm glad to see these suggestions. :)

( I don't listen to top 40 btw-I'm pretty much an uneducated jazz enthusiast)

I love WP's color scheme. Green is awesome when you're blue!

The latest CD I bought is the 2009 Collector's Edition of Thomas Dolby - The Golden Age Of Wireless. It has the songs in the original order he'd planned - the album was released with several different track listings over the years. Plus it has numerous bonus tracks, and comes with a bonus DVD of a concert, which I saw once at a friend's house on VHS, twenty-odd years ago.

A couple of days after that, for my birthday, my wife gave me The Beatles stereo box set - all of their albums, remastered. We have to wait until November to get the mono box, because the first run sold out in the first couple of days.

Haha, if you express any more interest in PT, it will take all my energy not to start inappropriately gushing about them, they really are amazing 8)

I haven't bought anything recently, but I've been downloading a bunch of bootleg shows by Acid Mothers Temple from www.archive.org.

11:11-rodrigo y gabriela

Duo playing classical guitars. Very cool, very rhythmic. I think I remember reading somewhere that their influences included Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Metallica, Slayer, and Slipknot. 8O
