I've heard from aspie hippies and aspie punk rockers. I'd also like to hear from aspie Mods and Rockers as well, being a Mod.

This is my theme song:

That's one of the songs I was gonna cover on the ukulele real soon.

I get called a hippie a lot..mostly by punk rockers..but i don't fit in with the hippies...

I don't really fit in with any of those groups...though i interact with them on a regular basis on account of running a venue..

I used to sorta envy people who could fit into a distinct category...The gothy types...The uniform-wearing punk rockers..etc...

I didn't fit into any of the "groups", either. I was sort of a hippy-goth-punk mix when I was a teen, but I didn't socialize with any of these groups. I was just "weird" by myself off in a corner. Now, I am perpetually stuck in the 1980-1990 music era. I don't list to or buy much music anymore. I just keep listening to the same new wave, punk, goth, alternative stuff from when I was a kid. Pretty sad, but I don't like to change up my music too much. Currently, when I go to exercise, I listen to Gary Neuman and Bauhaus. Odd combination, but it works. Bela Legosi is Dead followed by Cars.... on a loop. Just the two songs.

I am sort of an eccentric Bohemian non-conformist type.
I like all kinds of music that are not too poppy and that don't clash with my senses...
I do love the Kinks though...

I wish I was a mod. I can sometimes dress up as one, but I'm not that cool. I like my band tees and jeans.

I'm just a little scruffy, bespectacled, shootin' (as in camera), moshing rock pig. Rock pig is a person that goes to as many gigs as possible, usually traveling very far and forgetting to wash because they go to so many shows.

I fookin love The Kinks too.

My wardrobe consists of a hodge-podge of clothing that I have collected over the last dozen years or so. I guess I would have to say that my "style" is the complete lack of style.

One of these. More refined/stuck-up than a Rocker depending on your point of view. :) The conflicts of the "Mods and Rockers" in Brighton are something of an (inflated!) legend here.

I'm mostly a folkie. :D

Neither.

I listen to so many different types of music (including the Kinks) that there isn't really a label that fits me at all, although my dress style is pretty much beatnik (black polo necks, faux-leather jackets and loafers). I once landed a position as a Lou Reed impersonator in a Velvet Underground tribute band, partly because I'm good at remembering song lyrics and partly because I looked the part.

I guess that makes the Hippies 'Somebody to love'

Ohh and I suppose I am not really a mod but I do get described by friends and family as a 'Rocker' but I don't really think much of it, So wouldn't say I am.

I'm a rocker in general. I wear lots of rock band shirts and keep my hair long. I'd say I'm a classic rocker type of guy, although my absolute favorite bands are alternative and classic metal bands.

The (excellent) rock opera album by the Who entitled "Quadraphenia" covers this topic (as I am sure Cockney Rebel knows.) The Who were an early Mod band. There was a film of the same title based on the album, but I prefer the album. {Off topic} I got to see a Who concert promoting the album. I wasn't a fan before that, but I have been a fan ever since. It was the best concert I ever experienced. Better than the Stones, or Clapton. Santana was a close second.

Was this an intentional pun on mod(erators) and rockers (as in the stim?) :?:

Some of the moderators are probably rockers as well!
