I'm trying to install Ubuntu for fun.

When I start wubi.exe, it prompts for name, password and where to install it. When It starts downloading the file it says:
ubuntu-9.10-desktop-amd64iso.torrent

The strange thing is I don't have a 64 bit amd. I have a Intel Dual Core 32bit. Anyone know whats up?

If it's a Core 2, then it supports 64-bit.

Intel and AMD's 64-bit implementations are basically the same, and since it's AMD who introduced 64-bit to x86, a lot of people called it amd64.

Successfully installed. It doesn't seem to "see" my wireless adapter though. I have a "Dell Wireless 1395 WLAN Mini-Card".

It looks like I have to use ndiswrapper. I found the following:
Ubuntu Forums

Where do I type all that garbage?

You might not need ndiswrapper. Try to hook it up with an ethernet cable first. If you get an Internet connection that way, you can run update manager and it might download a wireless driver that suits your card. After a reboot wireless may then be automagically working. That's the way I did it when I installed Karmic, since it didn't come with wireless for me either.

Great suggestion. I will try that.
