Is anyone else weird about food temperatures? I prefer hot foods, and I'll heat up most foods that are meant to be eaten cold (like pasta salad) even on hot days. I cannot STAND cold pasta/potato salads, vegetables, etc.

If a food is supposed to be cold I have no problem eating it cold, but if it's food that is supposed to be hot... I like it to be almost intolerably hot all the way through the meal. XD
I'll usually go back at least once to heat up hot food or drinks while I'm eating/drinking them. Even on hot days, yes.

I also like to stick things like PBJ sandwiches and cake in the freezer for a few minutes before I eat them because I like the PB and frosting to be kind of chilled and solid.

I don't like warm food when it's supposed to be hot.

I like it piping hot or not at all. I don't like warm food when it's supposed to be cold, either.

One thing I do like at room temperature is chocolate.

You lot are very fortunate.

If it is too hot for me I will scream
and threow the food down and my meal
is ruined.

I have to let it sit there until it
is warm, not cold but not hot enuf
to make me scream.

Mostly I eat raw food. I prefer it to be at room temperature and will briefly microwave cold tomatoes etc. just to take the chill off them. My teeth aren't sensitive to cold, I just don't like the feeling. I don't eat ice cream either, for the same reason.

When I do eat cooked food it has to be just right, i.e. above 37 centigrade but not painfully hot. I can get very impatient waiting for stuff to cool, and these days I'm quite likely to just set it down and go off and do something else for a few minutes, which isn't always the "correct" thing to do socially, apparently. On the other hand, knowing the food's been heated up to boiling point reassures me that any bugs in it will probably be dead.

I don't usually like foods that are supposed to be hot served cold, so pasta and spuds have to be warm, though I've had the occasional thing that tasted fine even though it broke my rules. I think there's just something about these "cold leftovers" that makes me feel like I'm being expected to eat out of the slop bucket......and no I don't tell them that at parties.

I enjoy eating foods cold as leftovers and being warm on being served. Warm to hot liquids are another thing. I am not really a fan of warm/hot liquids. I only started to drink tea in my late teens because of my dislike of drinking liquids warm. This is probably the same reason why I dislike soup. Again I only really gave it a try in my late teens.

I'm more "easy" now, but when I was young I was able only to eat cold food, my daughter is the same.

I like cold food cold, and hot food lukewarm. My parents used to laugh at me cause I'd cook a meal, and promptly put it in the fridge to cool it down. But if it's cold and meant to be hot, I wont eat it.

I won't eat food that's supposed to be hot, if its cold. Most of my family is the same way, so I never thought it was odd. I do seem more extreme though, I've been known to microwave cold cut sandwiches and such. I generally prefer hot foods. And even though I'm oversensitive to pain, I'd rather burn my tongue on something too hot than have it get cold while I'm eating it.

I'm kind of like that. Though with me, if it's a food that's supposed to be hot, it must be VERY hot. & if it's a food that's cold, it must be VERY cold. I also have this weird obsession with food not being cooked, especially meat. I usually end up burning the food some, just to make certain that it's done. I figure that if it's burnt, it should be hot enough & cooked lol.

I prefer cold over hot. Hot food must be hothothot (yay microwave) and preferably spicy (i put a LOT of tabasco on my hot dishes) and cold food COLD (but NOT frozen crunchy).

I don't obsess about liquids. I'll drink my Coffee and tea lukewarm or even cold. never tried heating up the coke though... :)

I like eating hot foods hot from the microwave/oven, and cold foods cold from the fridge.

However I'll make the exception during heatwaves, in which I'll eat foods (normally served hot) straight from the fridge. Examples include mashed potatos and fried rice.

lol. I have a different problem with meat. I like it rare, but also as hot as possible. XD; Hard to cook.

FYI, beef is fine to eat raw, (if it's from a high quality company who kills the cow right and doesn't get brain matter or.. floor matter on the meat.) and raw bacon hasn't hurt me yet, although I try not to eat it uncooked. Chicken's the one I'm not sure about.
Eggs and fish are fine raw too. Although I'd cook farmed salmon pretty well, personally.

Idon't heat up things that are supposaed to be cold, and vice-versa, but I am obsessive about having foods at the correct temperature that they're supposed to be. Like a salad for instance...if I'm not going to eat it right away, i put it in the fridge so it stays cold, And, if I cook something and don't eat it right away, it always goes in the microwave before I'll touch it, if it's sat out long enough to get below temp. 8)
