The snow had grounded the search helicopter. I hope the ground search has better luck.
I find it odd that cbc news says that the boy was not dressed for winter conditions but ctv news says that he is.

Poor litttle boy. We need smaller better tracking devices for the kids that are prone to wander.

Such a tragic story--all the moreso because he was found alive and then didn't survive.

GPS topic

There is a similar device for Alzheimer patients. It is imperative that this device be made available now for anyone in need.

I wandered off when I was three and a half years of age and was missing for three hours, in May. James was gone for about 48 hours, and in December. 8O

James wandered very far (1.5 km) in such cold, and the dog followed him, staying with James until he stopped moving, and then rushed home. Perhaps the dog helped to keep him warm for as long as possible, and helped to locate the unconscious boy. Otherwise he would not have been found until spring. The poor parents.
