I just can't take it anymore. I mean, I grew up a big Chicago Bulls fan and had to suffer through some horrendous years, but I can't take this BS anymore this year. They're losing by 30 to the Hawks. When you're losing by 30, that isn't a lack of talent. That's a lack of heart and motivation.

I hate losing, but I hate when my teams don't even try to compete. They just cave in and give up. I hate this. I feel like I'm going to explode and die of a heart attack. This is just getting old and tiring very fast. I feel like I want to throw stuff and the players for their half-hearted attempts at playing the game of basketball. Heck, I could go out there and try and lose by 30!

No heart, no spine, no effort. Just disgusting. I can't take it anymore. I feel like my head is going to explode!

It's just football! It does not affect your life, so yeah... Not exactly haven material in my opinion...

This is the Haven; it isn't up to anyone else to decide what is upsetting. There is a vast difference between personal perspectives here, a difference between use and abuse, and if there is a need for a member to vent without fear of repercussion, it should be here. If you have nothing positive to say, then go elsewhere - PPR is always a good place to be critical, for example...

It's just a game. How the team plays does not depend on you. No matter how much you cheer, you cannot change the quality of their playing. It's not like you have a superpower to control people at your will (you wish!). So just chill out, and think logically. What difference does it make in your life? Does it really affect you that much? Yes, you've been a fan, and you still are just a fan. No need to make such a big deal out of it.

Think of it this way, if you live in Canada, think of the pain Leafs fans have had to endure for the past 40 years. :P Your suffering is nothing compared to theirs, lol

Its sucks when your team is losing.

All one can do is stand by them and hope things get better.

It's not football. It's basketball (if you can call it that...).

I understand, man. When I get into games (and I'm a CUBS' fan!) it becomes something like life-or-death sometimes. I don't know why it matters, but it does. Maybe because it's emotion I can really feel and when I really feel emotion, it takes on a lot of meaning. I miss Phil Jackson, MJ, Scottie and Steve Kerr... but my very first special interest was in 1986 (at the age of three) when I became obsessed with Michael Jordan and carried around a basketball. I even went as him for Halloween that year (and I'm a little white girl from the suburbs). I still can't hate the Tarheels for beating the Illini in 2004, because that was his team (although his son now plays for the Illini). But I digress.

You are not the only one. I have become disillusioned by pro b-ball. It looks sometimes like a bunch of giant egos trading slam dunks and never playing defense, or with heart or love of the game... it's about money and appearances (two things I don't care about). I just love the game. Not that I can play (once again, little suburban white girl who gets owned playing with seven-year-olds), but I just love the game.

I suggest reading "Sacred Hoops" if you haven't already.
