Hi,

I'm new to this diagnosis. I've always known I had autistic characteristics and have really related to autistic people, but I didn't completely fit the diagnostic criteria. I recently learned about Aspergers, and it is me exactly! It explains so much. :D My new understanding is going to help me a lot in my therapy because now I know to tell my therapist that I need specific, concrete instructions and modelling for dealing with bueracracy and social interactions.

I got Aspergers when I was 12. Well, welcome, and I'm glad your seeking info to tell your thearpest. Do you chunk information on specific subjects? I chunk info on transportation.

Most definitely! The subject varies with time. During the past year it was the new computer programming language I was learning, then when I found out about Aspergers this week, I started having a lot of trouble stopping reading about it on the internet. I haven't been able to stop to eat meals or go to sleep! What do you do in situations like that?
