This is something I have suspected all along, due to my own case or personal circumstances with Early Infantile Autism due to severe asphyxiation during birth and delivery.

What do you think?

I'm very sceptical, and I don't see how you're making a connection between cord clamping and severe asphyxiation during birth and delivery.

They are separate issues but both occurred in my case.

I know very little about this, but I do know my older daughter (who works as a midwife's birth assistant) says the baby should be allowed to get all it can from the placenta before the cord is cut.

I wonder what the statistics are for autism among those born naturally in settings that allow some time before clamping or cord cutting -- I understand water births allow a time interval:

There does seem to be some medical argument for delaying cord clamping:

Interesting theory.
