I think I can divide it in 2;

1. Very friendly, optimistic attitude, and like Englishmen, reads the newspaper and loves football.

2. Very cold, hardly shows any emotions at all, people can think of them as rude, impolite and think they're selfish and egoistic.

That's quite funny, and I understand that their taxes, like that of the Swedish, are high.
But must confess ignorance about the penalty for driving fast. What is it, please?

It's true, Norway does take care of everyone, if you get sick, you will IMMEDIATELY get rushed to the hospital, and you don't have to pay for it.

I've got those imaginary Viking helmets stuck in my head now.
In my mind's eye, there are all these Norwegian doorways with an extra set of horn shaped space extensions to allow the helmets on heads through!

They wear Viking helmets, live in upturned long boats and eat dried fish and brown cheese. When you meet one he will be drunk and ask you "how much does that cost in your country".

Lots of Norwegians/scandinavians in general when immigrating to america, settled down in the area where i live in Washington state in the pacific northwest.
There's even a little Norwegian town out here called Poulsbo. As with any small town of mostly one nationality in origin though around here, it's kind of a tourist town though. I grew up in that town. I'm 2nd-3rd generation Norwegian myself.

but every year the town has a "Viking Fest(ival)" :lol:
parade with candy-throwing, carnival by the waterfront, etcetera

There's also a little "German" town around here too called Leavenworth.

The people are culturally interchangeable with the Danes after overlooking the fact that there is Black Metal, Church burning and Devil Worship, in a land that is as mountainous as Denmark is flat. --Oh yeah, they have a LOT of oil money, but the Janteslavn still prevails.
