My pick as number one would be an obscure track by a well known artist.
Beatle George Harrison did the soundtrack for a never well known and now forgotten late sixties movie called 'the Wonderwall". Mostly instrumental music that ranged from purely East Indian music to purely western pop symphonic sounds with hybrid eastern/western music in between.

The Track entited "the Love Scene" consists of two sitars - one an octave higher than the other ( like the difference between a man and woman's voice) interacting and finnally combining in unison - very seductive listening.

Leather - Tori Amos is the first one that comes to mind for me. I got a gig playing piano in a piano bar straight off the bat by playing and singing that song.
