How was your New Year's celebration? Did you have one?

I sat at home with my parents. I'm pretty sad right now.

No celebration here. I'm watching old movies: "Shadow of the Thin Man".

Happy New Year to you both!!

I did the same, I'm not sad at all though. Are you sad because of the fact you stayed at home with your parents, or is it unrelated?

Basically just because I did nothing. I felt like a loser. I'm a bit better today though.

You shouldn't be upset for such reasons. Looser is simply a label placed on people who are not conforming to stupid social conventions we are all expected to enjoy. If you personally had no problems with being with your parents other than fear of a mere label, you have nothing to be upset about at all :)

It's hard when other people tell you how great the party was that they were at and stuff.

Do you think that, if you went, you'd realistically enjoy it?

Then just wait for the next one to come along, no use crying over spilt milk as the old saying goes... And if you're really worried about being a "looser", lie if someone asks what you did :P

Happy new year. I hosted a LAN party, it went quite well. We played an open source game called urban terror. The only problems I encountered had to do with my computer, and we had extras.

Awesome, I play Urban Terror every now and then. I would play it more, but my laptop has a terrible graphics card.
