Excited
I'm excited.
I train adults in Project Management, and I am a couple of countries north from my home at the moment. The local boss of the organisation for whom I'm providing training this week has known from the last time I was here (in November) that I'm autistic, and since then he's been fascinated enough by the whole notion of autism to mention to me in a business e-mail that he'd seen Adam, and that it opened his mind to the challenges I probably face. (I haven't seen Adam yet myself.)
He told me from the beginning that if I am autistic, then surely, based on the kinds of things which give me enjoyment, his lead consultant must be autistic too. Our companies then arranged things in such a way that I will get to meet his lead consultant and possibly be part of the team that must continue his work after his final consulting engagement (he's a professional systems developer -- not necessarily in information technlogy, but also in business systems, production systems and so on).
I wouldn't be surprised if my client has told this guy what he's learned from me about autism; but, either way, I am really curious now, and I have a feeling that the next few days are going to be an awe-inspiring time.

As I was dealing with a work related issue on here, i took to looking at other post and saw yours. I am impressed of your clients openess and understanding, seems he can see the benefits of the positive traits a person with AS has and when supported can enhance (working practices) in specific areas in the workplace. Like administration, IT, Development etc..... the prospects seem exciting and i wish you the best with whatever results from this present work engagement..
