I am blessed with very good friends. The nearest one is 300 miles away, and my best one at the moment is on the West Coast (I am on the East Coast). I used to see these people all the time, but now I see them only a few times a year, if that.

I seem to dislike the people where I live right now. Is this web of online friends healthy, or does it make me lose sight of my reality?

Its good if you accept it. And it fits with you. If you feel something is missing.. then you're not 100% with it.
Even if you think rational about it and think: 'Its good for me' you actually want more.

Now you are asking questions about it, so you feel something is wrong for you. (even if its something very small)

There's nothing wrong with ahving good friends reagrdless of where they live. Don't be afraid to give some of the people around you the benefit of the doubt though

I don't have any on-line friends, but I certainly don't see where it would be bad for you.

I believe that Facebook and the whole texting thing has turned people's heads to mush.
