even if the rules are somewhat programmed biologically, it does not make them any more rational. people and animals are predispositioned to search for differences in behavior to see whether or not someone or something is dangerous. since people overgeneralize, they assume that just because someone acts differently, that means that everything is wrong about them. i guess it is impossible to really tell the difference between subtle cues, but i am sure everyone knows conciously that they are biased by 1st impressions and that just because someone acts different does not make them any less human.
