Heh. The main reason I joined my high school year book committee as a photo editor was so that I could ensure my own face didn't appear in it.
A digital SLR is just a camera that combines conventional camera lens/shutter technology (manual / auto / shutter priority / aperture priority / program mode) with a CCD sensor. Unlike the typical digital camera, they look like an SLR film camera with a large lens and standard body shape.

An SLR camera is a camera that has exchangeable lenses. Its picture quality is maximixed compared to a compact camera's. SLRs are used to shoot shots on the spur of the moment of celebrities. I've got one 'cause I often bump into famous people who I want to take snaps of.
