How 'anarchist' are you?

What's your relation with authority, with hierarchy?

I think the closest thing I am to an Anarchist involves the fact that I have "Anarchy in the U.K." on my MP3 player.
I suppose if I agree with the authority, I am pretty mellow. My parents are neat people, so I don't mind listening to them. However, I hate America and the government, and I am very open about that. I am also very defiant against my teachers, except for one who openly calls his students "f*****s"

i love the idea of no authority. I do think for us to maintain anywhere near our current standard of living requires at the very least organisation. unfortunately this is usually brought about by authority. not that it has to or is even that difficult to do otherwise but i think to change everybody would be difficult.

I have always had problems with authority and regularly got in trouble because of it when i was young. i quickly learned it was just easier to pretend to eat their s**t. With the police for example it really is not a good idea to act smart or even ask any questions. Police really scare me. in my experience many of them are rather messed up people.

I have trouble noticing authority at all in the first place, which irritates those attempting to weild it. I have tendency to swim upstream, exit through doors marked enter, etc.

I tend to respect people who have natural authority. This causes problems, because they usually aren't the official authorities.

I don't mind being led, I do mind being pushed.

I respect and even look up to authority figures such as my parents and the Catholic Church. I am a real stickler for following most rules. In fact, I was almost never punished as a child because I was so well-behaved.

We need some sort of organization. This usually comes in the form of authority figure/s. The problem is that the authority figures seem to be chosen not on their skills, but on popularity. Or based on "connections" ( Sorry if I sound cynical).

I have a problem submitting to authority figures who really have no business being in that position.

Stand up, all victims of oppression
For the tyrants fear your might
Don't cling so hard to your possessions
For you have nothing, if you have no rights
Let racist ignorance be ended
For respect makes the empires fall
Freedom is merely privilege extended
Unless enjoyed by one and all

I'm a Socialist. I'm probably not as extreme as I once was. I don't like the idea of no rules. No rules against rape and murder? I think not. We need some rules and some type of authority.
The problem is though when a leader wants to change things for the good they get corrupted by power.

And please no brining up the Soviet Union, Cuba, North Korea or China. I'm not that kind of Socialist. I know those countries have done massive human rights violations.

I have no issues with authority figures aslong as they do not give me a reason to question their capability.

For that reason I was very defiant of my teachers, they were so flawed and subjective in their lessons that I refused to comply to even the simplest of instructions.

An unwise attitude that led to my premature departure of the educational system, but it isn't something I regret.

To make everything clear, I'm socialistliberal.

Socialism is not the same as Communism.

About the rules thing:
2 kinds of rules exist that are controlled by the government, I will use easy vocab.

I just try to give a some kind of image. Every country is different so.
Its just a generalised ..

Lifestyle rules: Gay, Abortion, Public drinking, Freedom, Immigration, Freedom of speach, religion,....

Collective lifestyle pro: Conservatives (mostly economic individual), Fascism (mostly economic collective), National Communism (mostly economic collective), Christian Democrats (mostly between economic collective, indivual)

Individual lifestyle pro: Liberalism kind of form.

Economic rules:

Collective economic pro: Communism kind of form.

Individual economic pro: Capitalism forms, Republicans.

Now I will explain what it means.

Lifestyle means that everybody needs to follow a path of vague rules and laws that have to do about how somebody need to be, about how somebody thinks about something, about what somebody prefers, about what somebody may do. Short said: Lifestyle.

Individual: Focused on freedom of the individual.
Collective; Focused on the group/country/etc.

Economic you make the story youtself.

Individual: Freedom on the job/market for the individual.
Collective: Think as a group.

Anyone do the Political Compass quiz? I am a Libertarian Socialist. I just don't get hierarchies.

I shook Bill Clinton's hand, twice. I shook his hand once and then I tried later to take a picture of him about a minute later, but he ruined my pic when he reached over and shook my hand again. Shook hands with me twice in 60 sec. He had he softest puffy fat hands I ever touched, felt like my dear grandmothers delicate face. Here is a guy, I thought, who never lifted anything heavier than a pen (or more infamously, for Monica, a Cigar).

My view of authority, puffy soft hands.

Libertarian Socialist would be: Economic collective, Lifestyle individual.
I did the test too some time ago.

I respect authority when the authority is respectable. In the Police States of America, I would respect the authority of federal, state, and local governments if they would abide by the contract from which they derive their powers. That contract is known as the Constitution. Once the governments disregard this contract, they lose their lawful authority to govern. The federal, state, and most local governments have done just that. They have willfully and repeatedly disregarded the Constitution and the right guaranteed by it to the people. As far as I am concerned, most of the governments are on the same level as the Mafia, MS-13, the Crips, the Bloods, etc.
