I've just had it with people. Last night I had to visit my half brother, his wife, their two kids and my niece. The little kids were fine and my niece isn't very argumentative, but my half brother talked about vaccines, mercury and how bad medication is. I wrote about it in my blog if you wanted to read more.
But I was just so angry. I could barely sleep. I hope I don't see another human being all day.

Yeah...of course. Is Easter an excuse or an opportunity to hang with others? ugh....

I'm in the bedroom on the bed with my laptop, ear plugs and I am trying to avoid the sensory hell that is emanating from that frigging Wii machine that my son and his dad are playing. there is two weeks of holidays to go and I am into the second day of them which means there are people at home ALL THE TIME and it is a nightmare and I am heading for a meltdown.

I'll just be staying at my parents house, with my family. I don't want to be dealing with friendship problems, this Easter.

If only -

my wife - thinner shell and more social anxiety than by me, though I am right up there, first agreed to let an out of town sibling drop in, then suggested another out of town sibling show up sometime, then opened it up to two others. Result, POSSIBLY 4 couples showing up at unspecified times, possibly 3, 2, 1, none - and a week of anticipation and preparation.

We agree we will be glad when it is over.

Meantime - aaargh.

Mother's Day is when I hide in the closet. I can't abide people wishing me a 'Happy Mother's Day" Before I knew that I had few to little 'social filters' I would freak out all over anyone that had a kind enough heart to wish me a 'happy mother's day!' Now I know that I have to stuff those feelings and run away to deal with my anguish because that is socially acceptable, where letting them know that not every old woman is a mother or bore children they got to keep . . . well, let's just say, these days I just hide out till the whole thing is over.

For years when I was raising my children we spent every major holiday with my NT husbands' parents. I experienced many times of sensory overload, and always hated the holidays.

Now my children are grown, and I have since remarried to a quiet man, who is content to visit with his father on holidays without my company. I will be enjoying a very quiet day at home alone. I am perfectly content to watch Easter festivities on TV, without having to bear the workload of hosting anyone, or the sensory overload of having to visit anyone.

I have no issue with visiting my gal's relatives on Easter, when that time comes.....doubt I'll do much talking, but I have no issues with going there.

I was invited to eat codfish at my aunt´s house but I decided to decline the invitation. I´m not in the mood of talking to people right now.
