I figured since there was a thread about posting random truths about family members besides parents, we needed one for parents too. I'll start:

Even though my dad is NT, he gets obsessed with certain movies and quotes them every chance he gets. They tend to rotate every week or so. His top favorites are What About Bob?, Me Myself & Irene and Spies Like Us.

My parents decided to get married after 4 long walks.
I should clarify the long walks were the first 4 dates.

My dad is employed by the city, and he basically cleans up parks and public revenues. He's a very hard worker.

My mom has worked with the school district's transportation department for over 20 years.

My dad met my mom on her 18th birthday and fell in love with her at first sight. They began dating and got married exactly one year later.

When my mom was in 9th grade, a boy in her class committed suicide after the first day of school.

That is everything I know about my either of my parents' past... we don't talk about things like normal families do.

Dad loves his sports and has gotten better at controlling his obsession
Dad loves Sienfield
Mom sometimes wishes I didn't have Asperger's
When Mom was a kid she thought she could make her boobs smaller so she watched what she ate. She thought it was just fat.
When I kept getting ear infections, mom thought she did something to cause it
Dad has ADHD and depression
My parents were married three years after they met
My parents decided to marry in May of 1982 and married two months later
