Whedon is a genius. He brought us Buffy and Firefly.

It is going to be amazing! Whedon being a huge comic book fan may make this first completly truthful to source comic book movie ever! Also since Josh Whedon likes to use cast members he has worked with maybe we could get Summer Glau or Eliza Dushku as Spider Woman? Or maybe the Wasp as she was part of the original avengers.

He did a good job with the movie "Serenity".

As long as he doesn't cast Alyson Hannigan as the Scarlet Witch... ;)

I'm surprised to see someone having another go at making an Avengers movie. That one a few years ago with Ralph Fiennes and Uma Thurman flopped and was slated by the critics as one of the worst movies ever.

Good luck to him. I think Buffy's a pretty decent show, so I'm sure he'll do fine.

^Different Avengers, man! Marvel Comics, as opposed to John Steed and Emma Peel. Yes, I get confused when people talk about the Avengers, too. I always think of the British series first. And yes, the Ralph Fiennes movie was one of the worst things I've seen in recent memory.

Anyway, I would definitely be interested in this film if Whedon is involved. He's one of my favourite writers.

Joss Whedon is one of the men!

Not "The Man", but "One of the men."

If he brings his trademark snarky dialogue and light tone, it could work. Marvel's steered the ship pretty well with this new crop of movies so far. (even the new Hulk movie was pretty good).
