I discovered this by accidentally putting wrongplanet.com instead of wrongplanet.net and as I have done this multiple times before on accident I discovered a new message saying the domain was up for sale. I was thinking maybe wrongplanet can secure this address and have it forward to here as it would probably help alot of newcomers trying to find the site but don't realize it is a .net

I've noticed it since 2006.

And they're going to continue to have their 'for sale' sign up until WrongPlanet buys it. see Cyber-Squatting http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyber_squatter

At first when I tried going back to wrongplanet the next day after I signed up, I've realised that it was .net and I thought that site had closed down.

This was the beginning of my times at WP.

I did the same too. I had to type the name in a search engine to find this place again.
