I have submitted a few posts, but never really introduced myself. So, this is me:

My name is Jessica. I am 23 years old. I live in Oklahoma, but I am a So Cal girl and always will be at heart. I work as a provisioning analyst (it sounds super special, but... none the less, I love my job). I am going to a state university. I'm studying to become a registered nurse and hope to enter the program in the Fall of 2011, assuming I can get all my finances and whatnot in order. I have a wonderful boyfriend of two and a half years. I have one child: a beautiful, wonderful, funny, intelligent little boy named Nathan. He is on the autism spectrum and I am still trying to learn all I can to help on this journey. If you want to know anything else, feel free to ask! :D

Welcome! NE OK, that's like Poteau, Panama, Sallisaw, Muldrow, Roland, Gore, maybe out to Broken Arrow/Tulsa? That area?

I kinda know my way around that area. :D But I try to stay out of Oklahoma - those people are crazy! :P

I laughed when I read your post because all the people I meet out here talk about how crazy we Californians are! Ha! I am in the Tulsa area, about 30 miles north, fairly close to the Kansas border.

There are two distinct types of California transplants to this area - the normal ones (I married one of those once, but that was a long time ago), and the freaky, unwashed illiterate hillbillies. People think hillbillies are indigenous to the south, but they're not - I swear the most backward, redneck bumpkins I've ever met out here have all been California natives. They must breed in hollow redwood trees in the Sierras or something, then migrate Eastward. 8O

You don't come across as one of those - they can't read well enough to use computers. :P

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. And just to get back to a few of you, AspieForty: Thanks a lot. I'm lucky to have such a beautiful little man. Willard: I would like to believe I am a "normal" Californian, not the hillbilly type. However, now that I have lived across a few states I can say that culture changes, but there are the same types of people everywhere. Be it hillbillies or others!
