Beats me.
I like my hair fairly short with gel in it.
I also shave every day.

You could ask the same question about women.

:Why do women get short hair.
It's a huge turn off when looking for a women.
Long hair makes women alot more attractive to me.

For example that women from "kingdom of heaven"
Shes really sexy with long hair.
But when it got cut off she became verry unnatractive.

Some women suit short hair, but no men suit beards and long hair, except maybe Viggo Mortensen.

Long hair is just geeky and beards.. well just spew.

If someone could move this into romantic relationships or mature that would be appreciated.

I think that it's up to the individual man. However, I wouldn't want a man with long hair. I also wouldn't want a man with hair that would be too short for me to run my fingers through. I'd like a man with Austin Powers length hair, maybe a little shorter, but lust by a little.

Was that intentional?

Sorry to disagree- my husband is a biker type guy - long hair usually pulled back into a ponytail and long beard and tattoos. He is a big guy so I think this works well for him.

Why have a particular look to make anyone else happy?

Beauty's in the eye of the beholder, I have a mate with long hair and a beard. It's what suits him, he has a fiancee who's clearly happy with it, and he is proud of saying his long hair and beard are a chick magnet. :D

i am a male, i've got shoulder length hair, planning to grow it down to middle chest length. I also have sideburns.
I really like long hair but i think that it depends on the person whether it is good or not.

I've got short hair but while I've never grown a beard before, my five or six day growth is starting to cross that threshold. Trouble is it's actually very grey.

Personally I find both the long hair and beards on me and others hideous. The only difference is that I care even less about my own than other peoples.

Colin Farrell also looks great in "The New World".

As with many things in life, that depends on personal preferences. I have this liking for reading the ads in the "lonely hearts" section of the papers (not to reply to any of them, but just for the sake of finding out what people like in a partner) and there is a huge variety of tastes, both for men and women. 8)

Long hair (and, why not, a beard) can be very attractive in some men and can look terrible in others. Like some clothes.

I don't know, I just decided one day that I wouldn't shave any more, I always hated shaving, and never liked haircuts, so here I am.

Depends on how long the hair is I guess and whether it suits them or not as I think that some men suit long hair, but I don't get the whole beard thing, its not nice. Plus, having a beard says to me that he is hiding something.

Personally I think it's kinda cool, but I wouldn't grow my hair long myself because my showers are long enough already...hahahah. And I shall be growing a beard (indeed, already have, kinda) simply because I cannot stand the smell of shaving cream.
