Autscape 2010: Autistic Wellbeing

The registration for Autscape 2010 is now open. Places tend to fill up quickly.
Register early to secure your place at this year's Autscape!

For information about registration options, fees, supplements and discounts, and links to the online registration form, please go to:
www.autscape.org/registration

What is Autscape?
Autscape is a three day residential conference in the UK organised by and for autistic people.
There are workshops, leisure activities, social opportunities, and more, all specifically oriented to the needs and preferences of autistic people.

Autscape welcomes participants from across the spectrum, and sympathetic non-autistic people.
By the very nature of the event, we are primarily oriented to autistic people's needs and interests,
but there is much to be learned and enjoyed for an open minded non-autistic person.

Participants of all ages are welcome to attend, but children and young people under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Childcare is provided for children up to 16 during daytime workshop hours at a ratio of 1 childcare worker to 6 children.

People who need a full time carer, who don't use speech, or who may otherwise consider themselves 'too severe' are specifically encouraged to attend.
No matter where on or off the spectrum you find yourself, there is no need to be afraid that you won't fit in.
Diversity enriches the experience for everyone.

The following message is for people who have booked but haven't had their
booking accepted yet, and for people who haven't yet booked.

If you have already had your booking accepted and have been asked to pay,
this message does NOT apply to you.

Bookings for Autscape 2010
==========================

Demand for Autscape 2010 has been very high this year and we regret that
it may not be possible to accommodate everyone who wants to come.

In order to make allocation of places fair on people who have difficulty
getting organised, we won't be allocating places on a first-come first-
served basis. What we'll do instead is to have a draw for places on Friday
28th May.

If you haven't booked yet, please do so before 5pm on Friday 28th to
be sure of being entered into the draw. You can do that on-line at
https://www.autscape.org/booking/. We will let you know the outcome
of the draw by Monday 31st May.

Between 2 and 4 places will be reserved for a second draw which will be
held on Friday 25th June.

If you can't remember if your booking was accepted, you can check the
status of your booking at https://www.autscape.org/booking/.
If it says 'Pending', that means that your booking has not yet been
accepted and you will be entered into the draw.

Non-residential bookings are still being accepted as normal and are not
part of the draw. You can find information about local B&Bs at
http://www.autscape.org/venue/guesthouse
