former smoker here, and now second-hand cigarette smoke usually really bothers me. Sometimes I don't mind it, but usually I can't stand breathing it.

I am a on-again off-again smoker, so cigarettes/smoke don't bother me (except in the sense that I'll want one). Years ago I was the girl who thought smoking was bad, felt like coughing when I passed someone smoking, said I would never smoke, etc. I tried smoking on a particularly stressful day and liked it.

I love the smell of a lit cigarette, but I don't enjoy smoking them... :) Stale smoke is pretty horrible though. :?

I don't really care for the smell of them. I have a very sensitive stomach, and the smell of second hand smoke, can really upset it.

ugh, hate the smell and everything about them. the smokers are one of the downsides of mardi gras and jazz fest. plus those horrible 80s era anti-drug videos pretty much deterred me from ever doing a drug. seriously though do they just not make anti-drug videos any more or do they think it's fine to give us old 80's drugs videos? hearing "that's tubular!" from a fluffy haired girl in those videos made me cringe everytime.
i feel sorry for the smokers around my university. some of them can't go three hours without a cigarette break.

Its a filthy habit, it killed my dad who could never stop, even after his heart attack. I am all for a complete ban on smoking in public places such as sidewalks or while driving.

I have a deep hatred of cigarettes and other things that harm my lungs. I find it really hard to breathe when there is smoke or strong smells near me.

Me too :D When I was very young, like 4, my aunt Wanda used to smoke cigarettes (she still does, I think or at least she used to smoke a couple of years ago) and every time I saw her smoking I came nearer to inhale the smoke :D I didn't know then it was unhealthy.

I used to be fine with second hand smoke, but now everyone I know who smokes is like a super hardcore chain-smoker :x I can be around them for only like 10 seconds and already my eyes are burning and my clothes stink.

Now my friends are getting into e-cigs, which still kind of stink if you get it blown right in your face, but are probably 100% more tolerable.

My dad is a heavy smoker, and my paternal grandmother died a few years ago due to complications from smoking. This is why I'm never going to smoke.

My mother is incredibly sick, but still smokes. I can't stand that she does that to herself.

I don't like them. I like the smell of the unlit ones though. But lit? No. It amazes me how people smoke and smoke without even trying to stop. I suppose they're waiting until that diagnosis of cancer, or some horrific untreatable disease
