Ok, So I scored 76% on this, I was sad. My dad scored 86%. My mom, who we are always calling illogical, surprised me by scoring 93%! My friend who considered himself highly logical got 47%. So what do you get? :P

Only 60%. I'm not surprised! In some cases I changed my answer and should have gone with my instinct (but that's not logical)! It's okay...I've always been ruled more by emotion than logic. I wonder if I could get my highly logical husband to take this? I'd be interested to see his score. I think I would have done better if I'd been able to talk these through.

67%, but my reading comprehension isn't the greatest either. If someone read them to me, I may have done better.

Same, a lot of the words and phrasing confused me.

87%. Proof that a highly emotional person is not necessarily illogical by nature. :)

(Well, I shouldn't say proof. More like a strong suggestion of it. ;) )

Never cared much for word play logic tests. I'll go back to my Sudoku now . . . 40%

I got 100%.

I read a lot of murder mysteries. A lot of murder mysteries. The plots of murder mysteries rely heavily on just the sort of logic questions posed in this test. Frequently the detective in the novel will phrase some plot point in almost exactly the same way these questions are phrased.

So I guess reading murder mysteries=studying for logic quizzes.

93%

I got number 6 wrong. I was thinking the correct answer until I got to points g and h and then I couldn't see any other way but the incorrect answer. I feel a bit better, though, since the explanation says that it wasn't really a deductive argument to start with. (After years of trying to hammer it into my head, I *still* have problems with inductive vs. deductive.)

i got 93% on the first test, and 100% on the second after reading the answers for the first--but i don't think i would have got question 6 right on the second one if i had taken it first, because i got it's corresponding question wrong on the first test, and it was easier. /sentence.

87%, no wait 93% (I don't see how those with 100% have been able to figure out the question 12, or 14 for that matter.).

There is no reason that emotions could influences your answers, as you are in a completly unmetional situation while answering.

I got 87%, got 2 of the questions wrong.

The two questions I missed were because I didn't understand what was meant by "Also remember to make judgement upon the information given". I still don't know what it means. But it doesn't mean "take into account the accuracy of the of the information given". I missed 2 questions because I did make judgement on the information given, knew it wasn't valid, and thus the conclusion wasn't valid even though it followed from the premises, but the premises were false. But it said they were valid. So, I've no clue what "Also remember to make judgement upon the information given" means, since it doesn't mean to judge whether the premises are true.
