Apparently in Japan, there is a sound between R and L which is applied to both R and L though.

I only heard the word HOLE, and I listened to it several times. What I think is ridiculous is that the card had been on the shelves for 3 years, and people decided to complain about it this year.

Not so; Black dialect in the US of A actually doesn't sound either the L or the R in a context like this. Thus, hole and whore are pronounced "ho". I say the point raised by the NAACP is a point well taken.

However, in the card, it's completely pronounced. Just because some people might not say the whole word does not mean they cannot understand the whole word when it is pronounced. That'd be like saying Southern people don't know what you all means because they say y'all.

Beyond that, black hole is a widely used term. Are they going to ban it completely now?

Someone certainly pulled a card, and it wasn't Hallmark.

When organizations like the NAACP have enough free time on their hands work on this kind of nonsense, then I think we can declare racism to be officially over. If the anti-racist organizations have to make s**t up to try and look busy, then surely everything more important has already been dealt with?

I mean, it's absolutely crazy.
