Elisabeth Taylor has vivid blues eyes that are said to look almost violet in person
mine are hazel with a hint of green, my sisters are grey almost like a gun metal blue

hmmm, trying to think now of eye-types i might have overlooked in my poll

like golden-colored, or albino eyes

and ones that are not so much 2 blended colors, so much as just ones where the colors are different on the outside and inner parts.

and what about ones where it's a solid color, but looks like a subtle blend of 3 colors :o

not to mention those individuals who have a solid or mixed color with interspersed "flecks"

This page discusses the spectrum of human eye colors:

I said hazel, but that word seems to cover multiple eye color combinations. My case light brown center w/ the rest a grey/green mix that changes color depending on my clothes. I wonder if all/most people w/ hazel eyes tend to have their eyes appear to change colors depending on their clothes?

Mine are hazel around the pupil and green near the whites. The more tired, sick or stressed I am, the more the green fills in and my eyes develop a bluish tint. If I am happy and rested, the hazel fills in and they become much darker.

honestly don't know what I would put down for my eye color.

My eye color would be as follows...

thin amber band right along the outside of the pupil
thick grey-green band in the middle
outer edge of the iris is a purplish blue

all the colors are clearly defined and divided with no bleed-through and no 'flecks'. perfect circular bands if you will.

as for eyesight it is horrible. I cant stand putting ANYTHING near my eyes so contact lenses are out of the question. Glasses irritate me as well but I still put up with them *although I wont wear them for pictures*.

I can make my (hazel) eyes appear to change color just by looking at different things. I've done the "trick" several times for different people and they react strongly every time. All I do is look at dramatically differently colored large things (like walls or large pieces of furniture) to shift the color. It doesn't seem (according to the laws of physics as I understand them) that it should work. Maybe it's just the power of suggestion, combined with the extreme hazel-y-ness of my eyes (they have brown, green, and gold in them), that causes other people to believe they see my eyes change color when I look in different directions?

I dunno, im gonna probably take a picture of my eye and decide from there. the description i gave above was done in a neutral colored room with a lamp right in my face. Best way to tell ALL the color of an eye in my opinion is in bright lighting conditions. Gonna probably have a pic with and without a flash

Greenish blue. The outer ring is a slate blue, the iris has both blue & green mixed in a radiating pattern, & the inner ring closest to the iris is an olive green.
