Being from the "Big D", I LOVE him! He's actually quite talented, IMO - some people can't get past the language/anger, but I think he's very real and isn't afraid to speak his mind.

Yeah he is brilliantly talented I can't stop listening to beautiful and not afraid he really does get a message across if people actually listen to what he sings x

I was a big fan of Eminem when he came out. He made quite a lot of sense to me in some ways & he pointed out a lot of hypocrisy
"Sometimes, I wanna get on TV and just let loose, but can't. But it's cool for Tom Green to hump a dead moose"
"But if we can hump dead animals and antelopes then there's no reason that a man and another man can't elope"

I know lots of people hated Eminem because he was extremly offensive but the rules about what's acceptable & what's not seem completely arbitrarily random to me & that's what those lyrics wer about. I haven't been listening to him much sense I graduated high-school in 2001 thou

He's almost half decent for a rapper.

A lot of his stuff is just needlessly obscene, but I do like some of it. I have some songs from his new album, they're good.

Overall, I love Eminem, have been since the start. I loved rap music before him anyway. If he was black, I'd still love him, because his blunt lyrics, sharp delivery and verbal energy (most of the time), is a humorous and striking listen although most of the time he has made fun of himself being white; "Some people see I'm white, ignoring skill."

The Slim Shady LP - I absolute adore. Fiery and humorous.
The Marshall Mathers LP - My favourite of his famous "Triptych". Just brilliant, and compelling.
The Eminem Show - A great retrospective approach at his fame.
Encore - My least favourite of his new trilogy. Trying to be funny, but it just doesn't work. Some of it still stands out.
Relapse - A good return, but still falls cringe-worthy in the same style as Encore.
Recovery - A nice, almost fresh take on the new "rap game". A bit contradictory, but it explains his recent hash of things.

EDIT: Oh, and in another post I say I don't like modern rap music. This is an exception. ;)

Horribly overrated. He's second only to Kurt Cobain as the most overrated musician of all time.
