Having spent a lot of time in the autistic community, I have not only learned a lot, I've also learned how little I've learned.

This is why I decided to create a wiki devoted to people on the autism spectrum. Having missed a lot of information myself, and seen lots and lots of misinformation in others too, I developed a vision of a way to bring together all of the resources available and present it.

It is still in the very newborn stages, but hopefully as it progresses, will become THE directory of supports and information on ASD's, their symptoms, co-morbids etc, as well as forums (such as this one), services available, diagnostic techniques and what to expect.....

Basically an encyclopedia of everything to do with the spectrum, life on it, and the community.

The embryo of the project is located here.

Please feel free to add information on existing articles, or create new ones, but bear in mind anything false, abusive or overly subjective will be edited, so there's no point going to the trouble of defacing it. As with Wikipedia, I'll want references where possible, please, too.
