I have been reading an article here.

http://ririanproject.com/2007/11/14/way ... -your-day/

I will also read more articles on the subject. I think it is true that the way the day is started sets the tone for the rest of the day.

Are you a morning person?

What are your routines in the morning?

Have you any tips that help wake you up?

To answer my own question:

I get up, lie in bed for too long, make breakfast and then spend loads of time surfing the net... it is a farm so we often dont start feeding the grazing animals until 11, also it is mid winter so things have slowed right down here.

I would love a latte or flat white but I would have to drive to the town for this..

I dont think my morning routine is the best really, i think I could improve on it. I find that I dont have the motivation to brush my hair or teeth in the morning, I have to goad myself into doing it as I just cant be bothered.

I'm both an early morning person and a night owl. I've never been much of day person and I'm always tired.

I usually start my morning out, feeding and watering cats and my plants of horrors. They make sure they come first!

Then I'll drink two cups of coffee (like it helps) and surf the net. Sometimes I run out of time b/c I can't seem to quit no matter how much I try. I've actually had to turn the comp off, I kid you not! Later in the day I feel sluggish and just want to sleep. It seems once night hits, I'm wide awake again as if I've been rejuvinated. My days are pretty depressing though, very lonely and I have trouble finding rides.

I wake up, recall my dreams, or fail to. Maybe write them down, if they were very interesting; usually do it later. Get up and meditate for 12 minutes. Get tea, or water with lemon. Then I'll boot the computer and read emails, PMs, facebook, and forum posts. Breakfast eventually, followed by a quick wash and then the rest of the day.

Usually I wake up, think goddamnit I'm alive and well and can't go back to sleep. I walk out say good morning to my family, sit down at the computer and get in contact with friends. It's miserable but I'm used to it.

Ideally I would wake up to a woman again. That would make me feel loads better.

Wake up. Anxiety and fear of the new day and its challenges grips me and fills my head at this point. Immediately upon waking. It all rushes in. It's horrifying. Worst part of my day.

Take a shower, brush teeth, do hair and make-up, get dressed, force myself to eat something. Try to relax about the day. I always go to the library/class at 10AM during weekdays. So after I'm done getting ready in the morning, I'll walk to the bus stop while listening to music. Try to relax.

Sometimes I'll have a smoke on the way down. Try to relax about the day.

I am not a morning person. Never the less, I am up by 8 every morning. The routine consists of getting the kids up, making sure the 3 year old goes to the bathroom and changing the 2 year old's diaper. Then, if it's a week day I make my husband's lunch and make breakfast. If it's a Saturday, I wait an hour or two to make breakfast.

I sleep until 9:30 or 10 on Sundays. When I get up, I make breakfast. (My husband gets up with the kids Sundays) Except for today. Today my husband had to meet a work associate and since the kids and I needed haircuts, we came along.

That sounds like a lot of hard work to do every day.

On your birthday as well? Busy girl.

*nod* I would much prefer hiring someone to do such a thing on my birthday.
