I don't pay that much attention to lyrics unless I catch something clever/witty. The third (latest) album not as much, but the first two by Shinedown have very great lyrics. Especially their debut, Leave a Whisper. That has pretty much the most deep and powerful lyrics I've ever heard on an album. Smith has a way with words.

I'd also have to point out that the lyrics on Leave a Whisper really relate to us (as Aspies). I was thinking about this while I was listening to the album on my iPod at work. I've never watched an interview, but even then I don't bother to "go looking for" signs of Aspieness. I'm just decided to make a small observation.

I like their new song The Crow and the Butterfly. I always look up lyrics to songs and they are good.

I'm a fan of the old Shinedown...I think their new album sucks besides "Devour" but I have to agree that the majority of their older songs have powerful lyrics
