Absolutely magnificent! And I can't believe it's a true story, but it really, really is.

I haven't watched it in it's entirety but I've seen bits and pieces on TV. I have resisted because I have a thing about the Holocaust and I was afraid it would torment me. Genocides have happened before and since, but there's something about the antiseptic, clinical, state sponsored detachment to it that especially horrifies me.

Schindler's List is an amazing film. We had to watch it in grade 10 history class and I was totally absorbed by it. It's also the film that introduced me to my two favourite actors, Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson.

I don't understand

I think it was a joke, acting as if you said, "Schindler's LISP"
It was a play on words I think.

I liked that there's a holocaust movie with a German hero. Contrary to popular opinion, there were plenty of Germans who tried to do something, but are only now getting the credit they deserve. In fact the very first concentration camp inmates were German gentiles, locked away for their political views, or because they were artists responsible for "degenerate art," or for their sexual orientation.

Oh, yes, I'm well aware of that. In order to know that fact, you don't have to have a degree in history... which I do. :D

Oh, trust me, I know how cretinism is common place among way too many people. My alcoholic, right wing crackpot father-in-law once asked me if we only fought Germany in the first world war, then only Japan in the second. And he was an army brat, fer crimmony sake!
