What did you get in your Key Stage 3 SATS papers (National Cirriculum Tests) in Year 9? (Those of you who did them)

Mine start in a couple of days and I have been doing plenty of studying.

887 - the seven in English (not bad considering I improvised my knowledge of Twelfth Night)

You can only get up to a level 7 on Science - You can't get a level 8. You can get a level 8 max in Maths, though.

Maybe it's different now.

The highest level you could get when I did them (5 years ago) was "E.P." (equivalent to a level nine).

You did have to take an extra test to be able to achieve level 8/E.P.; maybe that's why you think you can't get it.

I think they started to exclude the extra tests from 2003 onwards as I think the extra tests were done in 2002 and not 2003 (When I was in KS2).

/\ That's a great shame. We should be striving to create better structures for gifted students to excel in... :(

I think I got 3 7s. SATS are pretty useless anyway really. And the papers were bull from what I remember.

I got 4 in English (a few marks away from failing), 6 in Maths, and 7 in science.

Funny because I got a level 4 in KS2 english as well.

When I did KS3 SATS a couple of years ago I got three 7s. Only a couple of marks off 8 in maths. SATS don't count for anything, GCSEs are the ones that are going to get you somewhere.

Exactly. Technically I got 0 in Science because I was given two papers - each one from different tiers so it could not be marked properly. But I know that I would have got a Level 7 because of my working ability.

I wish that I did better on the SATS. I think that I slept through them back in the day. Oh well.

I did my KS3 SATs in 1998, and I got Level 6 in both English and Maths, and a high leve 5 in Science.
