Abraham Lincoln was a hypocrite politician who talked out of both sides of his mouth, like politicians always do.

The solution to this dilemma is not to go out and buy new clothes, as people often do.

Cool. Seanmw's ancestors probably had BBQ's with MotownDangerPants' ancestors :) I've read elsehwere, just anecdotally, that Abe displayed a lot of Aspie-ishness. Just conjecture, but plausible. Agreed that Mary Lincoln was quite the historical character.

Anyhow, love the clip!

Hmmmm, still might prove pretty interesting if you showed up randomly at a family reunion of some kind :P

Even though he was actually only my step-grandpa and so i guess we'd only be vaguely related through the marriage and not really at all by blood, lol

I'm not sure about Abe Lincoln being an Aspie, but I'm pretty sure that Mary Todd Lincoln is bipolar. She was a compulsive shopper (a symptom in the manic phase), her friends described her to have violent mood swings and a hot temper, and she had periods of depression and psychotic delusions (it does happen at one point...then again, she did lose her husband). Tad had either a form of mental retardation or ADHD (macrocephaly and hyperactivity can be symptoms, yet, he could just have a really big head like George Lopez).

Yep, I've always heard Mary Todd had BP - although not sure which type. And I have also heard that if the dx was made in the early to mid-1800's, that Abe-y baby was an aspie baby.

And I'm up for the family reunion, btw. :P
