You should break it to her lightly that you cannot love her, for she is not real and a woman.

What's with all these scam people using the phrase my dear? I got one when I first joined WP. I still have the message.

"Hello my dear how are you today my name is miss Alice, i saw your profile here and took interest on you to know more about you and also to shear my ideals with you please i will like if you can contact me direct to my private email address ([email protected]) so that i can send my pictures to you OK i am waiting to see your mail soon

yours
Miss Alice."

I e-mailed her and long story short, she just wanted access to my bank account so she could steal my monies. :/

Yeah.

Probably just a stalking troll. I've had this happen to me before.

These are obviously spam, I'm surprised any of you took them seriously. I got one and I just deleted it.

I got a similar message from someone either using the name, who who hacked the account amanda1010

I suppose it's one of those rings that scam lonely men out of money under the guise of being a woman who wants them, and thought people on here would be easy prey.

Yes, it's a scam/spammer. These are one of the reasons why one must not be too eager to engage socially. Normal social filtering, giving a presumed real person time to make a lot of posts, or a lot of time, is a necessary part of protecting oneself from people who may be diseased, who may have bad intentions, or who aren't who they say they are.

How many have their email address showing in their profile here?

Turn off Always show email!

And maybe send a copy of the ones saying they are from here to Alex(?)
if he does a robot.txt or in settings switches off the freedom from them seeing the profiles (not all sites have that 'switch though')
it should be fixed..

Nobody probably even saw your addresses, except a well trained spider.
And those are the only kind I agree to smooshing.
