Here is a holland cartoon of anti - islamic racists. it says "hi, im (something) a muslim", "what you against us?" "extremeist!" "hit him pa".

wow....the prophecy of max headroom has arrived. some dips..t christian decides he's tried of not being in the news, so he decides to do something silly and meaningless and BANG.....he's now a worldwide news figure who has presidents and 'kings' talking about him.

it really chaps my butt that 'religious' humans, struck by the insanity of religion, hate each other over NOTHING!

please, wipe each other out....please.....but could you do it without killing us lesser lifeforms, you know, us sane atheists and other animals.

Calling something "hate" is a cheap way of silencing people who disagree with you.

Now I "hate" broccoli. I hate being compelled to do something against my will. (This includes taxes and "active" regulation, but not "passive" regulation.) I hate people who compel me to do something against my will.

Perhaps I have an "offendability disability", because I'm not easily offended. Rant against my beliefs, my politics, even my mother, and you'll just see me grin at you. You've lost the fight, as far as I'm concerned.

(In fact, I was grinning for that very reason earlier today, as a ranting Christian idiot went on a rampage about the evils of Islam. Others in that forum who might have agreed with her had to distance themselves lest they look equally foolish.)

How many times do you read a story on politics or religion about how good life is, or how good some rival is? People love to read about and discuss pain and misery. You don't see political cartoons show how good a politician is doing. The main source of good religious stories are in the media of those religions, not their rivals. Hence, you're not going to see non-Muslims drawing charitable cartoons of Mohammad. (BTW, what's the preferred ASCII spelling of the Prophet's name? I'm using the one suggested by the Firefox spelling checker.)

I agree, there's a ton of morons out there who think all Muslims think with one mind. I'm finding it a struggle (but an entertaining and educational one) to combat that attitude in the forums I visit. (The worst are the conservative ones on Facebook. The drooling idiot I mentioned earlier is in a FB group.)

The big fad I see right now is the claim that Muslims are trying to impose Sharia Law on the US, and the most common cite I see is an Arab Festival in Dearborn, Michigan, where the Festival organizers apparently objected to some asshat Christian leafleters trying to brew trouble. (Although the festival was on public ground, they had a permit to use it so it was effectively a temporarily-private setting.)

The idea of Muslims in America wanting to impose Sharia Law is the most idiotic thing I've heard in a long time since they are a minority.

The problem is not in the act but in the sheep who can't think for themselves. Before Muslims, people hated blacks and women. (Not that long ago, either: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loving_v._Virginia )

We're fighting a war with a group of violent thugs who benefit from the confusion, hoping that Americans will equate all Muslims with the terrorist nuts.

It doesn't help when Islam in Iraq, Afghanistan, Sudan and Pakistan is full of violent factionalism. The squabble over oil fields makes it even worse.

Others quote them to me, and I need to know what they mean so that I can respond.

Generally when someone presents me with an argument, I look around to see if someone's written a response. So far I haven't found any Muslim sites that address these quotes. Know of any?

In comparison, Christians justify anti-gay sentiments with quotes from Leviticus, and I regularly use that to show how Christians can be just like extremist Muslims in cherry-picking their holy book to mean whatever they want.

(The Onion is a parody news site. The point of this story is to ridicule the kinds of people you're talking about. I just posted it to a thread full of such ignorance. It'll be interesting to see how many yahoos claim this fictional guy as their hero, before it gets pointed out that they've been played.)

This is exactly correct, and it is his right in America to burn his property if he wants. Just remember, the First Amendment guarantees people the right to be an ignorant a$$hat, which this pastor is being. Personally, I could care less, with the exception that this moron could put US service men in harms way.
