I admit to my shameful past... I am a convict. I am guilty of trolling two websites in my lifetime.
I won't tell you which ones.

I've never trolled before. I don't have the heart to do so.

I too sometimes troll for the lulz. Mostly on YouTube videos on franchises I do like or I just freak out and exaggerate on minor stuff...

I also troll on another forum, but only as a means of motivation for its current state...

I didn't even know humans could troll until I started frequenting Wrong Planet. I only thought of a troll as a mythological creature from children's tales. I must admit I did have to google search the term before it became clear to me what it means.

No. I've never been a troll.

Depends what you mean by trolling - it is divided into two groups: posting dumb posts (which I am not guilty of) and posting dramatic posts which sound realistic (to attract the attention of as many people as possible which I am guilty of :D ). It's just funny to post a dramatic story and later observe how many people swallowed the bait  I haven't done this for a looong time but now I'm planning to sign upon some board to taste this forbidden pleasure once more  People are so naive.

I've done both. I posted a heart-breaking love tale gone awry, and giggled with guilt as I watched people send me their condolences and open up to me about "similar" experiences of their own.

For me it wasn't about the others opening up to me but about people expressing their disgust and irritation at me for what I did (or at least what they thought me to have done) or at the person described by me in my trolling post. It's quite funny that some people are so quick to express such feelings at those they don't even know, lol

I just came to the conclusion that there exists the third kind of trolling, I'm inclined to call a patient, rational, friendly persvasion. This version takes a troll coming to a board full of people suffering for some reason and saying that they personally had the same experience in the past but that they liked it and that they can't understand why the posters from there are grieving over it so hard  When the posters unite and start insulting the troll (who deserves this name only because their experiences described in there aren't real), he or she expresses the most sincere surprise - "But why are you behaving in this irrational way, I just described to you how I felt and everybody has a different personality, I'm only surprised that you took it so personally."

Yes. I trolled that forum with two accounts. One was the irritating one, where I didn't directly insult any specific individual, I just said things that went against the general belief system. I trolled quietly after my ban (which happened in a few hours) and discovered mods telling people that I had generated the most complaints they've EVER had, and all within a few short hours. Success.

If I give away too many things, I may no longer be anonymous. I noticed a few members from here go there.
