I was making a joke re capillary action and the way fluids are sucked along.

"along"? how do you mean?

are you referring to laminar flow?

I was referring to the way liquids flow along narrow pipes due to the surface attraction of the outer layer of fluid molecules and those on the surface of the pipe.

It doesn't matter. My joke seems to have been lost. :(
