The city installed surveillance cameras along a street near my home where a lot of illegal gang activity had been occurring.  This morning, I was finally able to pump gas at the station closest to my home without being accosted by panhandlers, drug dealers, or prostitutes.

I guess telling that city councilmember in front of her staff and those reporters that her inaction implied tacit approval of crimes in my neighborhood is what finally got something done.

In either case, no one wants to be caught on-camera doing something everyone knows they should not be doing.

Wearing a bodycam works well against gang-stalkers, too. 8)

I accidentally washed my winter coat with a small torch still in the inside pocket, complete with battery. SOmehow, the torch still works perfectly.

A couple of my friends once had the misfortunate that their front doorstep was the one CCTV blind-spot in an inner city street. They had to make a lot of noise going out in case a transaction was in progress....
