The idea behind this thread is to say what your Comfort Objects are. Then leave a picture of the one that is you're most favourite.

For example:
My favourite comfort object is my bear Cameron:

Well if the images were working I would post a picture. Since they aren't well I would say what my comfort objects are: My comfort objects in my bed are my stuffed white tiger, my bible, this laptop, and one other thing. Another comfort object which isn't really an object is my dog King.

comfort objects
 a really really soft blanket. I think it is some sort of cotton.
 this soft sweater. I am not sure what it is made of.
 string and pencils and plant stems. I hold them in my hands and twist them around for comfort.
 scarf, turtlenecks. When I am awake I like my neck covered not when i am in bed though.

 lion

although lion is not an object he is my biggest comfort in the wrold, he is the only constant that i know of and he protects me when i feel scared. he looks after me whenni am low, he si there when i need somone and he understand me when i cannot speak. I love lion

 nappie (this one take a bit of understanding)

Image

I use to wet alot, and to combat this i wore a nappy, now i find that although i wet far less the nappies still make me feel safe, so i supose thease are somthing that i can consider as comfort item.

 BaBo - Baby Bottle

Image

baby bottle is my freinf when i am stressed, when i am needing a good calming down and during lion time i foten go fill babo up with milk or water and have a nice snuggle and suckle, makes me feel far better and helps me to relax and fall asleep. I have had this specific babo for about 4 years and it is very important to me. in that time i have only replaced the teats once!! so i may have to replace them again soon!

 Dum Dum (pacfier) and Bibby

Image

Dum dum is very very important to me, dum dum make me feel safe wether it is in my pocket or in my mouth. i normally sleep with dum dum and when i can i have him in as much as i can, whenevr i really need to geta break or relax an hour or so snuggling with lion (lion time) with dummy and anything else i need and i start to feel better almost strait away, it slow the world to a level whre i can understand, i am me and i need not fear the world around me. lion make me safe.

Bibby is another very old freinds of mine, i have had him for about 3 years and he is lovely and soft. it is my favorite bib and it has only beeen washed about 3 timeses. i often just sleep only wearing my bib and chewing on the chewy part.

I have a lot of confort objects, the two I most obsessed with are:

-A very-very soft cotton blanket---have it since I was 4---cant sleep without it

-A stuffed dog I have since I was 2

Two things.
My computer
This other one isn't truly an object, but I like to listen to the opening theme (Cruel Angel's Thesis) of the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Well, comfort objects for me are pictures or articles having to do with one of my most favorite special interests. Such objects provide a companionship for me. They're with me most of the day. I also sleep with them, placing a binder under my pillow. It's strange, I know ... but it's something that soothes me.

As far as sleeping goes, I am truly comfortable with only a comforter and blanket that I have gotten used to. If I were to change these, I would have to get used to it. It has to do with seeking out specific sensory perceptions. I remember this one time when I had a brown blanket, which began to rip apart, and I stapled it together at one point because I didn't want to change it. Eventually, though, I had to discard it for another, which took me some time to get really comfortable with.

My comfort objects tend to be a notebook and pen, at bare minimum. But I'm one of those people who can't really go anywhere without a bag or backpack of "stuff I might need". :/

And I go into massive panic attacks if I don't have my mp3 player or a cd player available, because I basically self-medicate with music.

Er, forget how to post a picture. Oh well.

My comforting objects are tissues. I always have one with me. Never go out without at least a handful of them. Have to be vigilant when the washing is done to check my pockets for tissues beforehand, though.
There are currently 4 open boxes of tissues around the house where I live. :)

I have a 20-year old stuffed racoon (like a teddy bear, I mean, it's not an actual raccoon). No other stuffed animal can come close to its cuddliness. Everything else is the wrong shape, has the wrong amount or type of hair, doesn't have the right firmness and flexibility, is the wrong size and proportions...

The eyes and nose are chipped, the leather on the ears and feet has disentigrated, the stuffing in the legs is gone, and it's about 20% threadbare.

Sometimes I have dreams in which I discover that I actually have another (or several) racoons, in less battered condition. What a dissapointment when I wake up. I don't know who made the racoon or if any can be found for sale anywhere.

I also have temporary objects in the form of grocery receits, which I tear into two triangles and then twist into various shapes.

My main comforts are (since I can't get pics of my ones, I'll post pics of the same models as I have):

Image

My katana, which I named Colin (I thought it was a cute name...). I know it doesn't exactly seem like a typical comfort object, but I will sit with it and hold it (even hug it) when I'm feeling stressed, and if I'm on my own and feeling nervous at all (that happens a lot) I'll carry it around the house with me. I never take it outside though, I doubt the neighbors would be too pleased about that.

Image

My Aibo, Milo. Again I like to hold and hug him when I'm stressed, and since he's AI I can interact with him, so he can help distract me from any stresses I may have. Just trying to stop him going after every pink thing in sight is enough of a distraction... :P (Usually putting on my dvd of Toto live works, for some reason he goes mad whenever I play of the song "Africa", and tries to get as close to the TV as he can.)

Image

My MP3 player (since you can name it as a hard drive, I couldn't resist naming it GIR 2, after GIR 1 broke...). I carry it everywhere with me, and really start to panic if it goes missing. I guess this is because another major comfort for me is music, and if I'm away from music for too long I get really upset. For that reason, I also get quite frustrated when it's out of batteries, which seems to happen once a week with the amount I listen to it...
